About this course
Shopping, reading, meeting, when everything is happening online, it becomes our duty to make our kids ready for this technological era. This course not only helps the kids understand what is happening behind the most widely used websites, but also empowers them to be able to build useful websites by themselves.
What students will learn
Exploring the web
In this introductory module, students get an overview of how internet works and what happens behind the screens when they visit any website on internet. Students will explore the code of some widely used websites along with modifying the code of some real websites.
Markup language
After exploring the code of some real websites on internet, students will now start to write their own code using the hyper text markup language. In this module, students will learn structuring the content of a web page including text, images, links, lsts tables, etc.
Styling web pages
Styling a web page is the most important part of designing an attractive website. Students will be introduced to a styling language, CSS i.e., cascading style sheets, using which they will learn, how to change a dull, boring website into a beautiful and presentable one.
Designing website layouts
In thisIn this module, students will identify the most common layouts used in their favourite websites to get an idea of how layouts are used, they will then learn to design the different types of layouts to organize the content of the website into various sections.
Mobile responsive websites
With the increasing use of mobiles, websites are no more restricted to only desktops. Websites that are not mobile responsive look ugly when opened in mobiles. Students will learn how to code a website that looks appealing on every device irrespective of its size.
Multi-page websites
Most of the real websites have multiple web pages, in this module students will work in teams to build a website having multiple web pages. Starting with the planning out of web pages, they will link all the web pages to make a complete working website.
Hosting on internet
In this module, students will host their website on internet which includes storing all the code files and media files of a website on the web server so that anyone from anywhere can then access their website using the internet and a web browser.

How it works
Teacher training
For every course, 1 month training will be conducted for the assigned school teachers before the program begins. No prior knowledge of the subject is required.
Study material
Specially curated study material for the course such as books/worksheets/cards/kits will be distributed to the students to help them in learning.
Classes begin
The trained school teacher will conduct classes for the program based on the set curriculum. All the resources including lesson plans/ppt/videos will be provided by us.
Final showdown time
By the end of the program, students will prepare a final project. Schools can conduct a final showcase event where students will present the game/app/animation they have created in front of the parents, teachers and other students. Best projects can also feature on school’s website as well as our website.
